About Atlas

Atlas is one of the most colorful granites in our yard: an icy white and pale aqua field broken up by large rust-orange and copper patches, edged in charcoal. The pattern is big and irregular, so every slab reads more like a piece of art than a background surface.

A stone this lively looks best where it gets room: a large island, a bar top or a feature vanity, paired with simple white, cream or dark cabinetry. Warm metals such as brass or bronze pick up the copper tones.

What is granite?

Granite is one of the most popular materials due to its versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance. It can also be more affordable than other options. Granite comes in a striking array of colors and is an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, outdoor projects, business applications, and other heavily used surfaces.

Atlas questions we get asked

Does every Atlas slab look the same?

No. The rust and copper patches move differently on every slab, and the amount of white versus color varies a lot. Walk the actual slabs and pick the one you love; we can tag it for your job.

What colors go with Atlas granite?

White or cream cabinets keep the space bright and let the copper tones stand out. Deep navy, charcoal or stained wood also work well. Keep the backsplash simple so it does not compete with the stone.

Does Atlas need to be sealed?

Most granite benefits from a sealer, and we seal at install. Dark, dense granites absorb very little, so resealing is infrequent; the water-drop test once a year tells you if it is needed.

Can I put a hot pan on Atlas?

Granite is one of the most heat-tolerant countertop materials, so an occasional hot pan will not hurt it. We still suggest a trivet as a habit to protect the sealer and the seams.
