About Azul Platino
Azul Platino is a light grey granite with an even mix of white, soft grey, charcoal and blue-grey grains. From a distance it reads as a clean, cool grey; up close you see the crystal detail.
Its even pattern makes it one of the easiest granites to plan: seams blend in, and multi-slab kitchens stay consistent. It suits grey, white and navy cabinetry, laundry rooms, rental properties and outdoor kitchens.

What is granite?
Granite is one of the most popular materials due to its versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance. It can also be more affordable than other options. Granite comes in a striking array of colors and is an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, outdoor projects, business applications, and other heavily used surfaces.
Azul Platino questions we get asked
Is Azul Platino actually blue?
Only a little. It is a grey granite with some blue-grey grains that show up in natural light. Next to white cabinets it reads cool grey with a slight blue cast.
Do seams show on Azul Platino?
Very little. The tight, even speckle hides seams well, which makes it a good choice for long runs and L-shaped kitchens.
Is Azul Platino a good choice for a busy family kitchen?
Yes. Granite stands up to heat, scratches and daily wear, and a patterned stone like Azul Platino hides crumbs, water spots and fingerprints better than a solid surface.
Does Azul Platino need to be sealed?
Most granite benefits from a sealer, and we seal at install. Dark, dense granites absorb very little, so resealing is infrequent; the water-drop test once a year tells you if it is needed.
Can Azul Platino be used outdoors?
Yes. Granite is UV stable and weathers well, which is why it is a favorite for outdoor kitchens and grill surrounds around Charlotte.
