About Calacatta Amalfi
Calacatta Amalfi is a soft white quartz with broad, sweeping veins that carry both warm gold and a cooler grey-green through them. The veins are wide enough to become the focal point of an island rather than a texture you have to look for.
Slabs with movement this large need to be laid out, not just cut: where the vein lands on an island, a waterfall edge or a backsplash changes the whole room. We plan the layout with you off the actual slab so the best sweep ends up where people look.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Calacatta Amalfi questions we get asked
Is Calacatta Amalfi too busy for a whole kitchen?
In a large kitchen it can carry the whole run. In a smaller one, many clients use it on the island and put a quieter white on the perimeter, which keeps the drama without the room feeling loud.
Does the veining run through the edge of the slab?
Yes, the pattern is cast through, so a mitered edge or a waterfall carries the veining down the side. That is a big part of why this color is chosen for islands.
Are the gold and green tones consistent slab to slab?
Close, but not identical. Because the vein is broad, two slabs of the same color can read differently depending on where the pattern falls, which is exactly why we want you to see the slab you are buying.
Does Calacatta Amalfi need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Calacatta Amalfi?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
