About Colonial Gold
Colonial Gold is a warm granite with a cream and pale gold field swirled with orange-gold and rust tones, plus scattered dark flecks. It has more color and movement than Colonial Cream.
It is a favorite for warm traditional kitchens and pairs well with cherry, oak and white cabinetry. In a brighter space it adds warmth without the weight of a dark stone.

What is granite?
Granite is one of the most popular materials due to its versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance. It can also be more affordable than other options. Granite comes in a striking array of colors and is an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, outdoor projects, business applications, and other heavily used surfaces.
Colonial Gold questions we get asked
What is the difference between Colonial Gold and Colonial Cream?
Colonial Gold has more gold and rust swirling and reads warmer. Colonial Cream is lighter and calmer. We can pull both so you can compare side by side.
Does Colonial Gold go with white cabinets?
Yes. White cabinets make the gold tones look brighter and fresher. It also works well with wood tones.
Does Colonial Gold need to be sealed?
Most granite benefits from a sealer, and we seal at install. Dark, dense granites absorb very little, so resealing is infrequent; the water-drop test once a year tells you if it is needed.
Is Colonial Gold a good choice for a busy family kitchen?
Yes. Granite stands up to heat, scratches and daily wear, and a patterned stone like Colonial Gold hides crumbs, water spots and fingerprints better than a solid surface.
