About Colonial White
Colonial White is a soft white granite with light grey clouding and small charcoal and burgundy flecks. It gives you a bright, light-colored counter with the durability of granite.
It works with almost any cabinet color: white for an all-light kitchen, grey or navy for contrast, or wood for warmth. The low-contrast pattern keeps the space calm.

What is granite?
Granite is one of the most popular materials due to its versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance. It can also be more affordable than other options. Granite comes in a striking array of colors and is an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, outdoor projects, business applications, and other heavily used surfaces.
Colonial White questions we get asked
Is Colonial White a pure white?
No. It is a soft white with light grey clouding and small dark and burgundy flecks. Compare it against your cabinet sample to see how it reads.
Is a white granite easier to maintain than marble?
Yes. Granite is harder and far less sensitive to acids than marble, so lemon and wine will not etch it the way they would marble.
Does Colonial White need to be sealed?
Most granite benefits from a sealer, and we seal at install. Dark, dense granites absorb very little, so resealing is infrequent; the water-drop test once a year tells you if it is needed.
Can I put a hot pan on Colonial White?
Granite is one of the most heat-tolerant countertop materials, so an occasional hot pan will not hurt it. We still suggest a trivet as a habit to protect the sealer and the seams.
