Dolce Vita is a warm cream and white quartzite with soft tan patches and a network of fine grey and mauve veins. It reads as warm and quiet rather than dramatic, which is exactly why it suits so many kitchens.
The warm palette pairs naturally with cream, white and natural oak cabinetry and with brass or bronze hardware. It is an easy recommendation for anyone who likes the look of a warm marble but wants a harder, more practical surface.

Quartzite is a natural stone that can mimic the look of marble while behaving more like granite. Its veining and bold patterns add elegance, and it is harder and more etch-resistant than marble.
No. Universal Stone carries both, and they are different stones: this Dolce Vita is a quartzite with a warm cream and tan palette, while Dolce Vita Dolomite is cooler and whiter with gold and grey veins. Ask us to pull both if you are comparing.
Yes. With bright white cabinets, the cream in the stone reads warm and inviting. With cream cabinets, it becomes a soft, tonal look.
Yes, we recommend it. Quartzite is dense, but it is still a natural stone, so we seal it at install. A quick check once a year tells you when to reseal: if a few drops of water darken the stone within a few minutes, it is time.
True quartzite resists etching far better than marble, which is the main reason people choose it. Some stones sold as quartzite contain softer minerals, though, so we are happy to test a sample from your actual slab before you commit. Wipe up acids promptly either way.
Natural stone arrives in different sizes with every block, so we do not publish a figure. Call (704) 394-1221 and we will tell you what is on the rack today and whether it covers your island in one piece.
