Matarazzo Calacatta Dolomite is a bright white stone with bold grey veins, clustered darker areas and touches of warm gold. It delivers the dramatic look of a Calacatta marble in a harder natural stone.
It is at its best on an island or a full-slab backsplash where the veining can be seen as a whole. Pair it with simple white, black or wood cabinetry and let the stone lead.

Dolomite is a natural stone with a marble-like look. It is harder than marble but softer than true quartzite, so it resists scratches better than marble while still needing sealing and prompt clean-up of acidic spills.
It gives you a very similar look, and dolomite is harder than marble. It can still etch with acids, though more slowly, so it suits people who want the look and can live with a little patina.
It is a dolomite, which we display with our quartzites because it is chosen for the same marble-like look. Dolomite is harder than marble but softer than true quartzite, so it sits in between for durability and care.
It can. Dolomite reacts to acids more slowly than marble, but lemon, vinegar, wine and some cleaners can still leave a dull mark if left sitting. Wipe spills promptly and use a pH-neutral stone cleaner. A honed finish hides etching better than polished.
Yes. We seal it at install and suggest checking once a year: if a few drops of water darken the stone within a few minutes, reseal.
