White Macaubus is a light grey-white quartzite with crisp, dark blue-grey veins that run in clean lines across the slab. It looks tailored and graphic rather than soft.
The linear veining suits modern and transitional kitchens, and the cool palette pairs well with white, black, navy and walnut. It is also a strong option for a bathroom vanity or a shower curb where you want natural stone with clean lines.

Quartzite is a natural stone that can mimic the look of marble while behaving more like granite. Its veining and bold patterns add elegance, and it is harder and more etch-resistant than marble.
Both are white quartzites with dark veining. White Macaubus has sharper, straighter lines with a blue-grey tone; Olympia's veins are bolder and more flowing. Seeing them side by side takes a minute at the warehouse.
Usually, yes. Linear veins are easier to line up than random patterns, and we plan seam placement on the slab before we cut.
Yes, we recommend it. Quartzite is dense, but it is still a natural stone, so we seal it at install. A quick check once a year tells you when to reseal: if a few drops of water darken the stone within a few minutes, it is time.
True quartzite resists etching far better than marble, which is the main reason people choose it. Some stones sold as quartzite contain softer minerals, though, so we are happy to test a sample from your actual slab before you commit. Wipe up acids promptly either way.
Natural stone arrives in different sizes with every block, so we do not publish a figure. Call (704) 394-1221 and we will tell you what is on the rack today and whether it covers your island in one piece.
