About Crema Bordeaux
Crema Bordeaux is a dramatic granite with horizontal bands of burgundy, peach, cream and grey, accented with dark mineral spots. It is warm, colorful and full of movement.
It shines on islands and bars where the banding can run the full length of the top. Keep cabinets in solid cream, white, black or dark wood and let the stone set the palette.

What is granite?
Granite is one of the most popular materials due to its versatility, durability, and ease of maintenance. It can also be more affordable than other options. Granite comes in a striking array of colors and is an ideal choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops, outdoor projects, business applications, and other heavily used surfaces.
Crema Bordeaux questions we get asked
How much do Crema Bordeaux slabs vary?
Quite a bit. The burgundy and peach bands change from slab to slab. Walk the slabs and choose the one with the color balance you want.
How should the bands run on an island?
Most clients run the bands along the length of the island, which makes it look longer and more continuous. We lay it out with you before cutting.
Does Crema Bordeaux need to be sealed?
Most granite benefits from a sealer, and we seal at install. Dark, dense granites absorb very little, so resealing is infrequent; the water-drop test once a year tells you if it is needed.
Can I put a hot pan on Crema Bordeaux?
Granite is one of the most heat-tolerant countertop materials, so an occasional hot pan will not hurt it. We still suggest a trivet as a habit to protect the sealer and the seams.
