About Mykonos
Mykonos is a soft white quartz with faint grey wisps drifting through it, one of the calmest slabs we stock. It gives a kitchen the brightness of a white counter with just enough movement to avoid looking flat.
Quiet slabs are the workhorses of a remodel. There is no pattern direction to plan, seams are easy to place discreetly, and the color will still make sense if the cabinetry or backsplash changes in five years.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Mykonos questions we get asked
How is Mykonos different from a plain white quartz?
The faint grey wisps give it depth in daylight, where a plain white can look like a manufactured panel. It is a small difference on a sample and a noticeable one across a whole kitchen.
Is it bright enough for a dark kitchen?
Yes, it is one of the better choices for a room short on natural light, because it reflects light without the cold cast some bright whites take on under LEDs.
Would it suit a full-height backsplash?
It is ideal for one. A subtle slab can run from counter to cabinet without overwhelming the room, and you lose the grout lines of tile.
Does Mykonos need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Mykonos?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
