About Allure

Allure is an engineered quartz in soft grey-white with fine taupe veins running diagonally across it, designed to look like a pale natural quartzite. It is offered in both brushed and polished finishes.

It gives you the quiet, natural-stone look many people want, with none of the sealing. The soft palette works with white, greige and wood cabinetry and suits both transitional and modern kitchens.

What is quartz?

Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.

Allure questions we get asked

What is the difference between brushed and polished Allure?

Polished reflects light and looks slightly darker and glossier. Brushed has a soft, low-sheen texture that feels more like natural stone and hides fingerprints better. Both are the same material underneath.

Is Allure quartz the same as Allure quartzite?

No. Universal Stone also carries a natural quartzite called Allure. This page is the engineered quartz, which is non-porous and never needs sealing.

Does Allure need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.

Can I put a hot pan on Allure?

No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
