About Calacatta Amalfi White

Calacatta Amalfi White is an engineered quartz with a soft white background and wide grey veins, each with a fine gold line running through its center. The veins are large enough to become the focal point of an island.

Slabs with this much movement need to be laid out, not just cut. We plan where the veins land on an island, waterfall edge or backsplash with you, off the actual slab, so the best sweep ends up where people look.

What is quartz?

Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.

Calacatta Amalfi White questions we get asked

How is Amalfi White different from Calacatta Amalfi?

They are close relatives with broad Calacatta veining. Amalfi White has a softer white field with grey veins and gold center lines. Ask us to pull both so you can compare in person.

Can the veins be matched across a seam?

Usually, yes. With wide veins, seam placement matters; we plan it on the slab so the pattern flows.

Does Calacatta Amalfi White need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.

Does the pattern repeat on Calacatta Amalfi White?

It can, because the pattern is manufactured rather than quarried. We lay slabs out so repeats do not land side by side in a visible run, and we match movement across seams and mitered edges wherever the slab allows.
