About Celeste

Celeste is an engineered quartz in soft mid grey with faint, directional lines running through it. It behaves almost like a solid color, with just enough movement to feel natural.

It is a good choice when the cabinetry, tile or a view should take the lead. Grey is also very forgiving for everyday use, which makes it a popular pick for family kitchens, laundry rooms and commercial counters.

What is quartz?

Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.

Celeste questions we get asked

Is Celeste too plain for a kitchen island?

Not if you want a calm, modern look. For more drama on the island, pair Celeste on the perimeter with a veined slab like Callisto on the island.

Does Celeste show fingerprints?

Less than a dark or very glossy surface. A mid grey with subtle movement is one of the most forgiving colors we sell.

Does Celeste need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.

Can I put a hot pan on Celeste?

No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
