About Calacatta Venatino
Calacatta Venatino is a soft white quartz with faint grey veins that fade in and out rather than cutting across the slab. It is one of the quietest marble-look quartzes we carry, and one of the easiest to live with.
At 138in by 79in the slabs are large, which matters more than people expect: a long run or a big island can often be done with fewer seams, and there is more room to place the pattern where you want it.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Calacatta Venatino questions we get asked
Does the large slab size mean fewer seams?
Often, yes. A 138in slab covers a longer run than a standard 126in, so on many kitchens we can eliminate a seam entirely. We confirm that at template, once we know the exact layout.
Is Venatino too plain?
If you want the counter noticed, yes, choose a bolder Calacatta. If you want a bright, clean kitchen that does not compete with cabinetry or tile, its softness is exactly the point.
Does it work with white cabinets without disappearing?
The faint grey veining keeps it from blending into white cabinetry, but the effect is subtle. Many clients add contrast with the island color or the hardware rather than the counter.
Does Calacatta Venatino need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Calacatta Venatino?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
