About Sequoia
Sequoia is a soft white quartz with fine taupe striations running one direction, giving it the look of a quiet quartzite rather than a Calacatta marble. The movement is linear and consistent, which makes it easy to plan around.
Because the pattern is directional, we keep the run consistent across every piece in a job. That single fabrication decision is what makes a striated slab look intentional rather than pieced together.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Sequoia questions we get asked
What does striated mean on a quartz slab?
The movement runs in parallel lines rather than branching veins. It gives a linear, calm look, and it means the direction of every cut piece has to be planned before fabrication.
Is Sequoia warm or cool?
Softly warm, thanks to the taupe in the striations. It pairs easily with cream, greige and natural wood, and stays neutral enough for white cabinetry.
Can the striations run vertically on an island end?
Yes, and on a waterfall edge that vertical run is often the point. Tell us the look you want and we cut to it.
Does Sequoia need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Sequoia?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
