About Statuario Nero
Statuario Nero inverts the classic marble look: a black field with crisp white veins branching across it. It is the most graphic slab in our quartz range and reads as a deliberate design choice in any room.
Black slabs need light around them. In a kitchen with white cabinetry or plenty of daylight it looks tailored; in a dark room it can close the space in, which is why it is often used on an island or a vanity rather than everywhere.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Statuario Nero questions we get asked
Is Statuario Nero practical for daily cooking?
It is as durable as any quartz, but a polished black surface shows dust, crumbs and water spots more than a light one. Most clients keep a microfibre cloth handy and consider it a fair trade for the look.
Does the white veining run through the edge?
Yes, the pattern is cast through the slab, so a mitered edge or waterfall carries the veining down the side rather than showing a plain black band.
What pairs well with it?
White or very light cabinetry for contrast, brass or matte black hardware, and warm wood to keep the room from feeling austere. It also works beautifully as a bar or powder-room vanity.
Does Statuario Nero need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Statuario Nero?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
