About Tuscany
Tuscany is a printed quartz: a white field with warm tan and grey veining reproduced at a level of realism that cast patterns struggle to reach. Standing in front of a slab, most people take it for a natural marble.
Printing gives more convincing veining, with one caveat worth stating plainly: the pattern sits in the surface layer, so a mitered edge is the right way to carry the look down the side of an island. We will show you a finished edge before you commit.

What is quartz?
Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.
Tuscany questions we get asked
What is printed quartz?
The pattern is printed onto the slab surface at high resolution rather than cast through the body. The result looks more like natural stone; the trade-off is that the raw edge does not carry the pattern, which is why a mitered edge is used.
Does the printed layer wear off?
No. It is sealed under the surface layer of the slab and is not something you can rub or scrub away in normal use. Treat it like any quartz: no abrasives, no bleach.
How close is it to real marble?
Visually very close, and it will not etch from lemon juice or wine the way marble does. If you want authentic depth in the stone itself, marble is still marble, and we stock that too.
Does Tuscany need to be sealed?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.
Can I put a hot pan on Tuscany?
No. The resin binder in every engineered quartz can scorch or discolor, so use a trivet. If hot pans routinely land on your counter, granite or porcelain is the safer surface.
