About Callisto

Callisto is an engineered quartz with a bright white background and bold diagonal veins in grey, finished with threads of gold. It is a classic Calacatta look with real movement.

It anchors a kitchen well on an island or a full-height backsplash and pairs beautifully with white, navy or black cabinetry. The gold accents tie in naturally with brass hardware and lighting.

What is quartz?

Quartz slabs are engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin and pigment. The result is a non-porous surface with consistent color and pattern that never needs sealing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and baths.

Callisto questions we get asked

Can the veining run continuously over a waterfall edge?

Yes. We plan the cut on the slab and miter the corner so the veins appear to flow over the edge. It is worth planning that layout with us before fabrication.

Is Callisto a warm or cool white?

It is a bright, fairly neutral white; the gold veins add warmth. It works with both warm and cool palettes.

Does Callisto need to be sealed?

No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so there is nothing to seal. Warm water, a soft cloth and a mild soap if needed is the whole routine; skip abrasive pads, bleach and any sealer or topical treatment.

Does the pattern repeat on Callisto?

It can, because the pattern is manufactured rather than quarried. We lay slabs out so repeats do not land side by side in a visible run, and we match movement across seams and mitered edges wherever the slab allows.
